As the project goes, the tasks will be testing mainly. Testing team and DEV teams cooperate and interact with each other to ensure the quality of products.

1. Bug workflow in ZenTao

The basic bug workflow in ZenTao is,

bugs submitted by testers => bugs resovled by developers  => bugs verified by testers => bugs closed by testers.

If bugs did not pass the acceptance, they could be activated for fixing again, submit bugs by testers =>  solve bugs by developers => verify bugs by testers => activate bugs by testers => solve bugs by developers  => verify bugs by testers =>  close bugs by testers.

If bugs recur after being closed, s ubmit bugs by testers => solve bugs by developers => verify bugs by testers =>  close bugs by testers  => activate bugs by testers =>  solve bugs by developers  => verify bugs by testers =>  close bugs by testers.

2. Report a Bug

Go to Project-> Bug and click Report Bug.

  • When creating bugs, required fields are basic information, including builds, bug titles and repro steps.
  • Affliated projects, related products and stories can be left empty.
  • When creating bugs, you can assign it to a specific. Leave it empty, if no one is assigned for now.

3. Solve a Bug

When a bug is assigned to A specific developer, s/he can verify and resolve the bug,
3.1 Find the bug

You can find a bug in ZenTao by lables or Search. For example, go to Dashboard->Bug and click Assigned to Me, a list of all the bugs assigned to you will show..

3.2 Solve a Bug

Click the Solve button in Actions and choose a solution for it.

4. Close a Bug

Once bugs are solved, they will be reassigned to the one who created them. Then testing team will verify whether the bug is trully solved. If accepted, then the bug will be closed. Click the Close button in Actions to close the bug.
